Increase Your Comfort, Cut Your Bills

What is a home energy audit? A home energy audit is a professionally performed evaluation of your home’s energy consumption. The goal of this assessment is to provide information to you, the homeowner, about how and where energy consumption can be reduced, which, ultimately means savings on your utility bill, increased comfort for you and your loved ones, and increased home value.

You could save between 5-30 % on your energy bill by making efficiency upgrades identified in a home energy audit according to the Department of Energy.

Vandalia provides professional energy auditing performed by a Building Performance Institute Certified Building Analyst. We offer three options for audits based on your needs. Choose between Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3.

Each auditing option typically takes less than two hours and afterwards, you will receive a thorough report with recommendations tailored to your home’s energy efficiency needs.

The goal of a Level I Audit is to identify glaring energy abusers. The audit will include an in-home walk through with an evaluation of utility bills and a general view of potential improvements. Follow-up will include a list of low or no-cost recommendations with long-term energy upgrades. The Level I Audit is meant to be a preliminary start to energy savings so that the client can set energy goals and prepare for future upgrades, and to learn about low or no-cost recommendations that the client can, oftentimes, implement themselves.
